Project: A full-home interior repaint of a historic stone Colonial in Chestnut Hill (ZIP 19118). Completed by Umar Painting Co. — no deposit, paid on completion.

The project story
The homeowners had just purchased a 1920s stone Colonial with dated, scuffed walls and yellowed trim. They wanted a bright, modern palette while respecting the home’s historic character. We color-matched a warm white for the trim and a soft greige for the walls, carefully protecting original hardwood floors and staircase.
Scope of work
- Living room, dining room, hallway, and three bedrooms
- Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and window casings
- Patch and skim-coat plaster cracks
- Prime all bare and repaired areas
Products used
- Benjamin Moore Regal Select (walls, eggshell)
- Benjamin Moore Ceiling Paint (flat white)
- Benjamin Moore Advance (trim, semi-gloss)
- Zinsser primer for stains and repairs
Timeline
4 working days, start to finish, with minimal disruption to the family.
Customer outcome
The interior feels brighter and larger, the plaster repairs are invisible, and the homeowners paid nothing until the final walkthrough was approved.
